We are pleased to hear our new children's laureate highlighting the holistic value of reading and being read to (noted on Channel4's new article, here https://www.channel4.com/news/the-new-childrens-laureate-explains-why-reading-out-loud-is-an-act-of-love).

Whilst we appreciate reading provides a great foundation for academic success, Frank Cottrell-Boyce comments that "Fundamentally, reading in the early years particularly makes an enormous difference – not just to educational attainment, but to resilience and to happiness."

I think he will approve of our #10 Sharing Books.

"50% of our kids are not being read to before school. Their first experience of reading is picking up an alien piece of tech, which is a book, and trying to decode it. That should not be happening."
